WowChat data deletion
1. Remove WowChat in Facebook
- Open Facebook, then Settings & privacy, then Settings, then Business integrations.
- Find WowChat and choose Remove.
- Meta sends us a signed deletion request. We check its signature and then delete the messages, activity records, API request records, contacts and any stored WhatsApp connection held by the workspace. This page then shows a confirmation code.
This request deletes the whole review workspace, not just one person's records, because the workspace has a single connected account. Credentials held in server configuration, such as the access token the workspace uses, are not part of that data store. WPXPO removes or rotates them when you email us.
2. Email us
Email support@wpxpo.com from the address on your account. Include the phone number or store involved, and say what you want deleted. We may ask you to confirm you own it, and we will confirm when it is done.
3. The WowChat Shopify app (planned)
The Shopify app is not released yet. When it is, uninstalling it will disconnect its WhatsApp account and, after Shopify's erasure notice, we will delete that store's data, including its message history and customer data.
4. If you received a WhatsApp message
You can reply STOP to stop marketing messages. To ask what we hold about you or to have it deleted, email the address above.
